Panama Canal Zone Home Pagemy name is Nancy Kaufer Lanfranco
and I graduated from Cristobal High School with the class of 1951. I have
several reasons for starting this home page:
- the 50th anniversary of my CHS class of '51 is fast approaching and it is not too early to start and locate all of the members of the class so we can all get together for a class reunion in Florida in year 2001 at the regular meeting of the Panama Canal Society.
- Keep current news available of all the reunions and mini-reunions in the various parts of the country.
- Have this page be a place where everyone can get updated news about the transition of the canal from U.S. to Panama which takes place in the year 2000.
- Collect stories and anecdotes about life in the Canal Zone. A collection of these would make a great book someday with credit going to all the people who contributed, of course.
